About the app
ThesisEdge is an AI-powered mobile investment strategy backtester. Simply describe your strategy in plain language (e.g., Buy the 3 fastest-growing S&P 500 companies every month, sell after one year) — the built-in GPT-4o-mini parser will translate it into DSL code, and the Dart engine will run the simulation on over 30 years of historical data directly on your device.
The app includes point-in-time historical data (survivorship bias correction): 1228 S&P 500 tickers, dividend and split adjustments, year-by-year mcap data, macroeconomic indicators (VIX, yield curve), earnings filters, and over 30 performance metrics: CAGR, Sharpe, Sortino, Max Drawdown, Win Rate. All calculations are performed offline on the device. Data is downloaded once as a bundle (~175 MB) and does not require a network connection for backtesting.
Additional features include: form editor mode (without AI), comparison of two strategies, TES1 sharing token, inflation-adjusted CAGR, pro analytics (monthly heatmap, underwater curve, individual position contributions), background backtest completion notification, and automatic resumption of interrupted bundle downloads.
